What I Do Best

"Perseverance in all your daily activities leads to the formation of an orderly mind instead of one that is full of loose ends. It leads to a mind that is purposeful and capable of planning ahead. It leads ultimately to success in life"

Sir John M. Templeton  -  Rhodes Scholar, philanthropist, mutual fund pioneer, billionaire.

I serve clients from many different backgrounds and professions.  However, what I do best is provide comprehensive financial planning and investment services tailored to the unique lifestyle of maritime professionals, their families, their businesses, and employees.  I believe my formal education, professional backgrounds, geographic location, and deliberate focus on understanding the business of people who work in the maritime industry are relevant, significant, and add value to many of my client relationships.

I have been a professional Naval Officer, ship captain, business owner, an employee, and an employer.  Like many of my clients I have a family with children as well as a parent that count on my support.  I have my own written financial plan and retain the services of a professional financial advisor, CPA, and estate planning attorney that I consult with regularly to keep that plan on track.  I firmly believe that "walking the walk" is the first step towards building lasting relationships based on mutual trust. I rely on formal and ongoing training systems, tested processes, and written checklists to improve the quality and consistency of my work.  I do what I say I am going to do and don't quit until the job is done.

I am not perfect, but my clients do not ask that of me.  They ask me to be reliable, honest, and trustworthy and give them my best effort 100% of the time and that, is what I strive to do best.
